The Origin
It started with
a bad set of
lashes.
The kind where you leave the appointment staring in the mirror thinking… what just happened to my face?
My first thought wasn’t to complain. It was, “I could probably do this myself.”
So I signed up for a lash class.
Reader… I could not.
Not even a little bit. Which is genuinely hilarious considering what I do now.
The class taught me almost nothing. The only thing I learned was that I absolutely could not do my own lashes. So I did what I usually do when something doesn’t make sense.
At the time I was about eight years into a corporate career that would eventually span fourteen years. I spent most of that time quietly guarding a very large brand and making sure things ran the way they were supposed to. Let’s just say I became very good at details.
But somewhere in the middle of that career, I started lashing. Evenings. Weekends. Practicing on friends who were brave enough to sit still while I learned. What started as curiosity slowly turned into a craft. Six years later, that craft became Asiti Beauty.
Most mornings you’ll find me at Pilates at 5 or 6am. Yes, that 5am. My phone is down, nobody needs anything from me, and my only job is to not fall off the reformer. It’s the most selfish hour of my week and I guard it like a non-refundable deposit.
The rest of the day, I’m usually juggling a lot. And the women who walk into this room are a lot like me.
They’re carrying careers, families, responsibilities, expectations. Some days it feels like we all have twenty tabs open in our heads.
This room is where they finally close.
For two hours, your phone goes face down. Your shoulders drop. Your mind gets quiet. You rest. You breathe. The lash room is the one place where nothing is required of you. Whatsoever.
Then I hand you the mirror.
And you wake up done.
Asiti means “from the heart.” That’s how every set is done.
